Police Officer Presented Life Saving Award

Wolf Point police officer Logan Bushman was presented a life saving award during the city council meeting held on Monday, Dec. 15.

The award was given by the City of Wolf Point and the Wolf Point Police Department.

The award reads, “In recognition of your extraordinary courage and selfless heroism on Sept. 28, 2025, in Wolf Point, Montana. With complete disregard for your own safety, you entered harm’s way during an active shooting incident and took decisive action that saved the life of another. Your bravery, quick thinking and dedication to the preservation of human life exemplify the highest ideals of service and sacrifice.”

Members of the city council gave Bushman a standing ovation after Mayor Chris Dschaak presented the award.

On Sept. 28, one man was killed and another injured in a shooting that occurred on Blaine Street at the Albertsons store’s parking lot. According to the Wolf Point Police Department, an officer responded to a reported shooting at approximately 8:40 p.m. Upon arrival, the police officer found one deceased individual and another person with a gunshot wound. The police officer provided immediate medical assistance to the injured person until emergency medical assistance arrived.
