Bainville Boys Begin Season With Three Returning Starters

Bainville’s boys’ basketball squad opens its season with three returning starters from last year’s squad.

Starters back for the Bulldogs are senior Rowan Wilson, senior Kaiden Holmes and sophomore Parker Berwick. Wilson was a second team All-Conference selection last year.

Evan Anderson, a sophomore, also saw a good amount of varsity playing time last season.

The Bulldogs have 13 players out for the sport this campaign.

“We have a good number of returning players with experience,” Coach Shawn Romo said.

The coach feels speed and quickness will be team’s strengths.

Bainville needs to become more consistent in order to obtain greater success.

“If we can be more consistent on both offense and defense, it will give us more opportunities to compete,” Romo said.

He said goals are to continue to improve each practice and each game and to be ready to compete at a higher level come tournament time.

“I think 2C will be very competitive with many close teams,” Romo said. “I expect Brockton to be one of the better teams in the district.”
