David Christianson

David Christianson, 78, of Davenport, N.D., formerly of Wolf Point, died Aug. 31, 2025.

He was born at the family home in Hubbard County Minn., to Peder and Dorothy Christianson on July 2, 1944.

A 1962 graduate of Bemidji High, he joined the U.S. Air Force in 1965 and was stationed in Trabzon Turkey and Yakota AFB Japan.

On April 9, 1966, he married Rebecca “Becky” Lea Smith. They had two children, both born in Thief River Falls, Minn.: Daniel in 1973 and Sara in 1976.

He attended Staples Area Vocational School, earning a degree in tool design engineering in 1973. His career in manufacturing included Arctic Cat in Minnesota, Tioga Air Heaters in North Dakota, A& S Tribal Industries in Montana and ASV in Minnesota.
