Indians Earn First At Plentywood Meet
The Poplar Indians earned first place in both the boys’ and girls’ divisions during the cross country meet in Plentywood on Saturday, Sept. 27.
Poplar’s girls topped the field with 10 points.
Mila Gramling finished in second place with a time of 22:39.0. Emilyann Meyers took fifth place at 23:10.8. Kellyn Azure placed sixth at 23:17.1.
Also making the top 10 for the Indians were Alara Cooper in eighth place at 24:02.1 and Amelia Weeks in 10th place at 24:10.1.
Poplar’s Harley Daniels took 15th at 25:17.2. Liberty Boadle was 19th at 25:44.4. Anna Menz placed 28th at 28:12.7.
The Indians earned first in the boys’ division with 12 points. Williston Trinity Christian was a close second with 16 points.
Poplar’s Issac Irizarry finished in second place at 17:57.9. Eljin Grey Bear placed fourth at 18:19.3. Jayden Eder earned sixth place at 18:28.1.
Ryder Olson placed 12th at 19:54.1. Wilder Bearcub took 17th place at 20:59.0. Mickey Failing placed 19th at 21:01.3.
Raylando Red Eagle ran the course in 22:21.3 for 26th place. Dustin Smith was 27th at 22:29.8. Easton Grey Bear took 34th at 24:37.0.
Wolf Point’s Cali Gorder topped the girls’ field with a winning time of 21:02.3.
Wolf Point’s Lakealah Mays took 27th place with a time of 28:09.7.
In the boys’ division, Wolf Point’s Andrew Williamson finished in 15th place at 20:42.3.
Ezekiel Payne took 33rd place at 24:35.0. Kevin Brock placed 39th at 26:58.4.
Brockton’s girls took third in the team standings with 31 points.
Leading the Warriors were BraeLynn DeMarrias with a time of 23:01.9 for fourth place.
Madalyn Fish took 11th place at 24:28.4. Skylar Cumming placed 21st at 26:19.7. Tamryn Bauer was 23rd at 26:41.3.
Taylor Cummins took 29th place at 28:25.3. Jade Olney placed 36th at 31:57.5.
Other times for the Warriors were Mackenzie Jones at 32:55.9, Olivia Erickson at 33:13.1, Raykira Track at 35:45.6 and Reese Decoteau at 37:30.6.
Brockton’s Miles Boxer Jr. finished in 14th place with a time of 20:12.8.
Daniel Segubiense took 22nd at 21:28.2.
Frazer’s Gabe Beston ran the course in 19:22.4 for 10th place.
Preston Beston placed 29th at 22:54.1. Cassius Smoker took 32nd at 24:20.4. Ronald Round Face was 41st at 27:38.4.
In the girls’ division, Frazer’s Noli Sibley placed 25th with a time of 27:34.2.
