Carolyn “Jo” McAllister

Carolyn “Jo” McAllister, 73, of Glasgow died Aug. 24, 2025.

She was born Jan. 26, 1952, in Glasgow to Morris E. Anderson and Evelyn E. Nayes and was the middle child of five. She spent part of her early childhood in Homestead before the family returned to Glasgow. She completed her education in Glasgow and graduated from Glasgow High School in 1970.

On Feb. 26, 1972, she married Leroy McAllister. They shared 26 years of marriage before his death in 1998. Together, they raised two children, Stacey and Jay. After Leroy’s death, she lived in Wolf Point, Lewistown and later Harrison before returning to Glasgow in spring of 2022.

She was a passionate artist and a talented seamstress. She poured her creativity into everything she touched and her family and friends were blessed with treasured handmade pieces and artwork. She also loved dancing and was known for making every gathering special, always ensuring that children were included with activities and fun. Her kindness, generosity and joyful spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
