“This is a celebration of our customers, employees, and the communities who have supported us for the past 100 years,” said John Reynolds, president of F.T. Reynolds Corp. “We’re proud of our history and excited for what’s ahead.”

Founded in 1925 in Glendive, Reynolds Market has grown from a single grocery store into a family-owned business serving multiple communities.

Glasgow has played a key role in that story: Len Bollinger opened a grocery store in 1949, Gordon’s Foods joined the Big G Shopping Center in 1961, and Reynolds Market acquired Gordon’s in 2012. In 2022, the Glasgow store underwent extensive renovations, reaffirming its commitment to modern service and community connection.

Reynolds Market has consistently balanced innovation with personal service. From its pioneering adoption of warehouse-style grocery buying in the 1950s, becoming the first store in Montana and sixth in the nation to do so, to the addition of online ordering, loyalty programs, electronic shelf tags, and personalized shopping experiences, the company has continually evolved while staying true to its mission.

Equally important is Reynolds Market’s ongoing commitment to making shopping family-friendly. Programs like Free Fruit for Kids and Find Fuzzy the Fox, an in-store scavenger hunt where children search for Fuzzy and receive a cookie reward, help create a welcoming, memorable experience for even the youngest customers.

Community involvement has always been central to Reynolds Market’s identity. Through its Friends of Reynolds program, launched in 2018, 1% of supporters’ purchases are donated back to local organizations. To date, that program continues to return about $80,000 annually to schools, food banks and nonprofits across eastern Montana.

Glasgow’s Place in the Story The Glasgow community has its own unique history within Reynolds Market: 1949: Len Bollinger opens a grocery store in Glasgow, laying the foundation for future expansions.

1961: Gordon’s Foods opens in the new Big G Shopping Center.

2012: Reynolds Market expands by acquiring Gordon’s Foods, strengthening its presence in northeastern Montana.

2022: The Glasgow store celebrates a grand reopening after extensive renovations, underscoring Reynolds’ commitment to modern retail experiences while preserving its community roots.
