Jerry Berner

Jerry Ross Berner, 76, currently of Lewistown, died in his home on June 30, 2025.

He was the son of Harvey and Alice Berner and grandson of Bud and Hazel Cahill. They farmed and ranched east of Wolf Point.

He and his siblings, Bonnie, Colleen and Allan attended the one-room schoolhouse at Sunnyside. He graduated from Wolf Point High School in 1967.

H was a loving father, grandpa and inspirational friend to many. He was an artist with plants and stone and a champion for all things wild and free in Montana, on the Earth and within ourselves.

A memorial honoring of his life will be held at Zoo Montana in Billings on Sunday, Sept. 7, at 2 p.m.
