Bainville Shoots To Contend During Six-Man Football Campaign

After earning the conference championship last season, Bainville’s football team looks to continue its winning ways this year.
“I expect a good year,” Bainville Coach Shawn Romo said. “But Terry and Jordan will be two strong teams in our conference and there are always some surprises.”
The Bulldogs have a turnout of 16 players including three freshmen.
Returning two-way starters for Bainville are senior Rowan Wilson, senior Kaiden Holmes and sophomore Parker Berwick. Other players with starting experience include junior Haedyn Wills, sophomore Kasten Hofer and sophomore Kyn Beery.
“They are a little hungry after the wasy last year ended,” Romo said regarding a first-round playoff loss. “The confidence is higher.”
Holmes and Wilson are the lone seniors on the team. Wilson earned All-Conference and All-State recognition last season.
After having an offensive attack that was pass dominated last season, Romo expects more running plays this year with Beery and Wilson carrying the ball.
Four teams from the Eastern Division will advance to the playoffs. Broadus is an addition to the league while MonDak is no longer in the conference.
