TEB Approves Funding Requests
The Fort Peck Tribal Executive Board held its regular full board meeting on Monday, July 28.
A 30-day extension was approved for Roy Daniels for the Veterans Transportation position.
The board voted to accept the Housing Ordinance 3B, which superseded all prior housing ordinances.
The board authorized the estimated 2026 annual funding agreement award in the amount of $671,109.
The Biodiversity Credit Program was approved to be led by Defenders of Wildlife in cooperation with the Fort Peck Tribes’ buffalo program. The board approved payments for past due invoices from the following: City of Wolf Point, $4,000; Henry Schein, $1,198.99, Jeffrey T Beacham, $2,155; Fisher Orthodontics, $21,650; McKesson Medical Surgical, $644.54 and Oracle/Cerner, $2,381.59.
The Red Bird Woman Center was approved to submit a proposal for Victims of Crime funding, which may be tendered by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office for Victims of Crime. The Red Bird Woman Center was also approved to obtain a credit card from Independence Bank with a credit limit of $5,000.
Amber Terry’s request for an additional $10 hourly wage was approved.
The board voted to approve the human resources director to rate the health systems administrator, HIPPA compliance officer, health resource advocate, clinical informatics, certified medical coder 1, quality assurance coordinator, patient registration supervisor, dental hygienist/ dental officer manager and dental hygienist position descriptions.
The tribal operations officer was authorized to disburse payment to Elk River Law Office for legal services rendered in June for natural resources for $562.50.
The board approved funding in the amount of $175,000 for demolish of buildings 61 and 62 of the Fort Peck Service Unit. The board approved a star quilt and monetary gift for Cathy Wetsit in recognition of her years of service to the Fort Peck Tribes.
