Bernadette Laverne LovesHim, “Mama Koolaid”, 81, of Poplar died July 1, 2025, in Billings.

She was born March 12, 1944, to Amelia and Wilbur LovesHim in Poplar, where she lived all her life.

She loved to cruise around, play Keno, listen to music — her favorites were Elvis Presley and Hank Williams — and go to Bingo with her grandchildren. They called her “lucky duck” at any Bingo she went to.

She thought very highly of her children, great-grandchildren, family and friends. She was always surrounded by loved ones.

She loved Matt Dillon, Gunsmoke or Little House on the Prairie and was always playing on TV. She always had a funny story to tell.

She had two sons, Gene A. Youngman and Raymond LovesHim; and four daughters, Margaret, Florence, Zelda and Rebecca LovesHim.

She is survived by her sons, Gene A. Youngman and Raymond LovesHim; daughters, Margaret LovesHim and Zelda LovesHim; adopted daughter, (Sadie) Wanda Smith; and numerous grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by daughters, Rebecca LovesHim and Florence LovesHim; son, Matthew Truxler Scott; grandchildren, Edna LovesHim, Vance WoundedFace, Amber CalfTail and Glenda Welch; and sister, Estelle LovesHim.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 16, at the Poplar Cultural Center. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
