Culbertson Council Talks Fogger Budget, Pool Covers
The Culbertson Town Council held its regular meeting on Monday. The full council was in attendance.
A maintenance contract associated with the Automated Weather Observing System at Big Sky Field was approved.
The council approved a financial services contract with the Montana League of Cities and Towns.
The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office submitted a monthly activity report. There were 28 calls, two arrests and five citations during the month of June.
Sketch plans were approved for a storage shed and an addition on the back side of a house on Second Street East.
The council discussed the possibility of purchasing a mosquito fogger. They approved a provisional budget in upwards of $7,000 for the purchase of a used model if one can be found.
The council approved a new job description for an open maintenance worker position to assist public works director Bob Jasper.
The cost of new pool covers was approved in the amount of $4,995.00.
The next regular meeting is set for Aug. 11, at 6 p.m., followed by a budget hearing.
