Williams Enjoys Wild Horse Races

Joclynn Williams wasn’t the typical contestant during the wild horse races at the Wolf Point Wild Horse Stampede last week. The 2025 graduate of Wolf Point High School wasn’t only one of the youngest participants, but she was also the lone female.
She explained her experience includes broncs during clinics in Poplar for the last four years. T.J. Bow asked her to join his wild horse racing team, which also includes Jake Flynn, during the events in Wolf Point.
Williams said that after Bow asked her, she didn’t give an immediate answer. She waited an hour before saying yes.
“Because why now?” she said of accepting the invitation.
Williams has also been in a wild horse race in Lodge Pole with friends Kasey Reed and Dashaun Jackson.
“It’s just different,” Williams said of why she enjoys wild horse racing.
She agrees it’s unusual for a girl to be involved with wild horse races, but she looks forward to the challenge.
Williams says she has been riding horses since she was 12 years old. Her plan is to stay in the area and study equine training.
