Election Field Set For Municipal Positions
The field has been set for municipal elections in Roosevelt County. The filing deadline was at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11.
In Wolf Point, Mayor Chris Dschaak has filed for re-election.
The mayor term is for four years. Dschaak’s time serving the city has included three terms as mayor and a year and a half as a council member.
Wolf Point council members John Plestina in Ward 1 and Dean Mahlum in Ward 3 have also filed for re-election. No one filed for the Ward 4 position, which is currently held by Lance Four Star.
In Poplar, spots due for election are currently held by Mayor John Grainger and council members Scott Azure and Greg Gourneau.
Sheri Crain has filed for re-election as mayor in Froid.
Candidates filing for the two council positions up for election in Froid are incumbent Tyler Harris, incumbent Laurie Young, Robert Corbell and Penny Ryder.
Culbertson Mayor Todd Gabriel has filed for re-election. Council candidates are incumbent Mark Nelson and Shadd Cullinan in Ward 2 and incumbent David Solem in Ward 1.
Toby Romo has filed for re-election as Bainville’s mayor. Council member John Gilligan has also filed for re-election.
Municipal general elections in Montana are scheduled for Nov. 4.
