Scobey Council Approves Zoning Permits
The Scobey City Council held itsregular meeting Oct. 13. Zoning permit applications for 302 Robinson St., 720 2nd Ave. and 302 Oie St. were approved.
“We’ve got some great citizens that are following all the rules,” Mayor Morgan Lekvold said.
The annual Scobey Volunteer Fire Department fundraiser meal is set for Nov. 7. “Always a fun event,” Lekvold said. “Buy your tickets, Come spend some money at our fire department fundraiser and steak feed.”
The council discussed the topic of dangerous intersections, with fact finding to include the purchase of new lighted signs and lighted safety features for problem areas.
A simplified agreement for flag football was approved and signed by the council, as was an annual agreement for GIS services.
A resolution was approved adopting a public records request policy to handle a recent increase in the number of requests submitted remotely and online.
Most of the street sweeping has been finished in advance of winter, according to the public works report. Crack ceiling efforts will be active.
