Wolf Point Senior Williams Likes Being Involved With Football, Hunting

Wolf Point High School senior Payton Williams likes his role as a manager for the Wolves’ football team.

He has served as the program’s manager for the last two years.

“I like being with the team,” he explained.

One of his jobs is being near head coach Anthony Red Cloud during games in order to take notes.

Williams’ favorite hobby is deer hunting. He said he was able to shoot five deer last year.

“I’ve been hunting all of my life,” he said.

His favorite spots are north of Wolf Point and also south of Frazer.

One of his highlights has been shooting a 5X5, 170-inch deer.

In the classroom, his favorite subject is American government because of teacher Will Larsen.

“He’s always straight up and tells the truth,” Williams said of Larsen.

The senior has attended school in Wolf Point for his entire education.

“There are fun things to do like playing basketball with friends,” he explained of why he likes Wolf Point.

After high school, his plans are to either attempt college or find a job in the area. He mentions possibly going into a business field or teach like his father, Jeremy Redstone, who is an instructor at Fort Peck Community College.
