Bulldog Pride Takes Over Bainville
From colorful parades rolling down Main Street to cheers echoing through the gym and music filling the air, Bainville came alive with Bulldog pride during an action- packed homecoming week.
Students, families and community members joined the celebration, packing the week with themed dress-up days, a grandparents’ breakfast, homecoming royalty, spirited volleyball and football games, and a parade bursting with creativity.
Haedyn Wills and Johnna Ryder were crowned Bainville’s homecoming royalty before the varsity volleyball match. Energy poured from the student cheering section throughout the match. Fans dressed in blue and white filled the bleachers, raised colorful posters and led enthusiastic chants in support of the Lady Bulldogs.
The celebration continued Friday, Sept. 11, with a grandparents’ breakfast at Bainville High School. Students welcomed their grandparents into a bustling cafeteria for biscuits and sausage gravy, watermelon, chocolate zucchini bread, juice and milk. A strong turnout made breakfast a lively morning filled with good food, conversation and community connections.
Excitement spilled onto Main Street during the homecoming parade as imaginative floats rolled through town during the homecoming parade. Students brought themes inspired by Toy Story, The Sandlot, Spider-Man and dinosaurs to life, delighting spectators and building excitement for the Bulldogs’ homecoming football game that evening.
School spirit had already been running high throughout the week as students filled the halls with themed outfits. Captain America Day covered the school in red, white and blue in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. Greatest Showman Day encouraged students to step onto their own red carpet by dressing their best.
The week wrapped up with Secret Life of a Bulldog Day. Students proudly wore their class T-shirts and filled the school with Bainville’s colors blue and white.
