Bainville Battles Terry In Hard-Fought Football Contest

The Bainville Bulldogs put together 174 yards of offense and protected the football in a hard-fought matchup against Terry. The Bulldogs lost by a 22-19 final.

Bainville gained 61 yards on the ground and added 113 through the air. Quarterback Evan Anderson completed seven passes for 113 yards, helping the Bulldogs move the ball against the Terry defense.

Parker Berwick led Bainville’s receivers with four catches for 49 yards and a touchdown. Keagan Vaira added a 40-yard reception, while Kyn Beery caught one pass for 13 yards and Holden Salivar added an 11-yard catch.

Salivar led the Bulldogs’ rushing attack with 28 yards on 16 carries. Beery followed with 23 yards on eight attempts, and Matthew Sorenson contributed 11 yards on three carries. The Bulldogs also received a balanced effort on defense. Vaira, Beery and Sorenson recorded six tackles apiece, while Berwick finished with five. Bridger Chandler and Anderson each added three tackles.

Terry finished with 207 yards of offense, including 73 rushing and 134 passing. Milo Sackman completed eight passes for 134 yards and led Terry on the ground with 30 yards. Gavin Guab-Dukart rushed for 29 yards and caught two passes for 39 yards, while Ethan Meidinger led Terry’s receivers with 58 yards on three catches. Guab- Dukart led Terry defensively with 12 tackles. Griffin Murr added eight tackles, and Owen Fuhrman finished with seven.

Neither team committed a turnover, but Bainville’s ability to protect the football and receive contributions from players on both sides of the ball gave the Bulldogs several positives to carry into their next matchup.
