Cultural Preservation Office Fair Planned

Cultural Preservation Office director Dyan Youpee and staff are hosting the 27th annual Cultural Fair Sept. 21-24 at Legion Park in Poplar.

“We’re hoping to hit 1,600 students this year,,” Youpee said via social media. “We’ll have 26+ learning booths and outdoor activities.”

Presentations will include talks about food sovereignty, Fort Peck Tribal history, traditional medicines and modern tribal health, Pipestone National Monument, star dome stories and more. There will also be hands-on tipi construction tutorials, horse rides, educational booths and games.
