Bainville Volleyball Ready For Season Of Growth Ahead
The Lady Bulldogs are heading into the new season with a mix of returning experience and young talent, ready to embrace what head coach Kallie Clark sees as a year of growth.
Returning starters Casey Myers, Jaylynn Bjorge and Johnna Ryder will provide familiar faces on the court this season. Myers and Ryder make up the senior class and will be looked to for leadership as the Lady Bulldogs work through a rebuilding year.
Jodi Albus also returns after seeing significant playing time last season, adding another experienced player to the Lady Bulldogs’ lineup.
While rebuilding can bring challenges, Clark sees plenty of potential in this year’s group. With players developing their skills and finding their roles, she believes one of the team’s biggest strengths is simply how much room it has to grow.
“It’s a rebuilding year for us, but our strength is that we do have so much room for growth as a team,” Clark said. “There is no knowing what this team will bring to the court.”
That growth will be tested against tough competition throughout the season. Clark expects Richey/ Lambert and Savage to be among the teams to watch in the league this year.
For Myers and Ryder, their senior season will provide an opportunity to help lead the younger players and set an example on and o the court. For the rest of the Lady Bulldogs, each practice and match will bring another opportunity to gain experience and grow together.
With plenty still to be discovered about this year’s team, Clark and the Lady Bulldogs are looking forward to seeing what they can build as the season unfolds.
