Gas Prices Increase By 8.6 Cents

Average gasoline prices in Montana have risen 8.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.31/g on Monday, Aug. 17, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana. Prices in Montana are 22.6 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand $1.08/g higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has increased 14.3 cents compared to a week ago and stands at $5.418 per gallon.

According to GasBuddy, the cheapest station in Montana was priced at $3.99/g on Sunday, Aug. 16, while the most expensive was $5.09/g, a difference of $1.10/g.

The national average price of gasoline has risen 7.7 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.02/g on Monday. The national average is up 3.6 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 93.1 cents per gallon higher than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports.
