The Roosevelt County Sheri’s O e responded to 178 calls from July 27-Aug. 3. The calls included the following: July 27
Deputies assisted the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice regarding the report of a fight near the Wolf Point Elks building. The female victim said two males and a female assaulted her. She could identify one male and the female. The victim had just purchased some alcohol and was walking by the Elks. Tribal warrants were issued for the male and female.
July 28
While on patrol in Poplar, a deputy spotted a female in a casino. A female didn’t have a warrant issued for her, but she was banished from the reservation. Alayna Fox, 41, was charged with criminal contempt charges.
Deputies responded to the Culbertson city limits after a reporting party was asked by a neighbor to call the police. The male had been assaulted and was bleeding. He was transported to the hospital. Investigation continues on the case.
July 30
Deputies assisted FPTDLJ at Wolf Point’s tribal housing regarding information that an adult male wanted on a federal warrant was at a residence. When law enforcement arrived, the male had already fled the scene.
Aug. 2
Deputies and FPTDLJ responded to a fight between two females at Poplar’s tribal housing. One female was charged with partner or family member assault while the other female was charged with criminal mischief. They were taken to tribal jail.
A female in Poplar called to report that someone ran into her fence with a vehicle. Deputies took information for the hit-and-run incident.
Aug. 3
Deputies responded to a grass fire outside of Froid that started outside of a garage. Responding were the Culbertson and Froid fire departments, ambulance services and Sheridan Electric.
Aug. 4
Deputies assisted the Williams County, N.D., Sheri’s O e to control a grass fire at the state line. The fire was getting near oil and gas facilities.
