Marvin Pankratz
Marvin Eugene Pankratz, 76, of Glasgow died June 13, 2026.
He was born in Wolf Point on April 7, 1950, the oldest of six boys to Walter and Elizabeth (Teichroew) Pankratz. He received his early education at Lustre Grade School, graduating from Lustre Bible Academy in 1968. He attended Big Sky Bible, Eastern Montana College and graduated from Northern Montana College earning a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering.
While serving on the board of directors for the Pines Youth Camp, he met Colleen Held. They were married on Oct. 8, 1994, in Glasgow. They made their home in Opheim and later in Glasgow. Together, they made the decision to take in children through the foster care program.
A farmer and rancher most of his life, he spent 10 years as a conductor for the BNSF railroad. He loved his horses and mules, airplanes and flying. He talked about being part of the Montana Centennial Cattle Drive. He never met a stranger and enjoyed
