Henry Buckles
Henry “Hank” Buckles, 66, of Regina, Sask., Canada, died June 7, 2026, in Regina.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Virginia; children, Tashina, Kahteri and Jordan; three grandchildren; sibling’s brother, Dana Buckles; sister, Phoebe Blount; and son, Joey.
He was predeceased by his parents, Suzanne (Joe) Jones and Raymond Buckles; sister, Corinne; and brother, Arlon Chapman.
He had a lot of pride and dignity. He was a private man, honest, loyal, full of determination, loved writing poems and had a beautiful singing voice. He was a great father, husband, Poppy, friend, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin. He was good at giving nicknames.
He followed the Catholic religion as his girls were baptized by the church. He also respected his traditional ways.
With his health declining over the last few years, he still took time to enjoy life to the fullest with his baby, Kahteri (Kahturn), and the babies he helped raise: Jax (Jaxsi), Luxanna (Yaya) and Baby Brexton (Bushbomb Luscious Aloysius Bixby).
His lifetime heroes were Elvis Presley, Muhammed Ali, Joe Nameth, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Fernando Valenzuela, Hank Aaron, Oscar dela Hoya, to name a few singers: Mick Jagger, John Lennon, Freddy Fender, Los Lonely Boys, Johnny Horton and George Jones.
A funeral service was held Thursday, June 18, at the Frazer Community Hall with interment at the Oswego Presbyterian Cemetery.
