Wolf Point Celebrates Graduation
Remembering the recent past fondly and looking forward to the future, the Wolf Point High School Class of 2026 held its graduation ceremony on Sunday, May 24.
Co-valedictorian Cole Boysun mentioned that he earned honors in music along with speech and drama, but that life isn’t about achievements but rather the people that you encounter during the experiences.
Boysun talked about making friends and enjoying long bus rides together. A key for happiness is having the right people to share the human experience.
Co-valedictorian Lauren Rodenberg told classmates that success is staying true to yourself. She said, “Don’t be so busy planning a life that you forget to live it.”
Rodenberg said she’s proud of the graduates and told them to enjoy the journey.
Salutatorian Jayla Big Talk said she is excited about a future in which she aims to earn a degree to become a history teacher. Her dream is to come back and work at a reservation school.
Big Talk said high school wasn’t perfect and there were moments of doubt, but all the challenges and successes were great lessons. She asked her classmates to stay open to change and remember where they started.
Honor student Richard Campbell III said the classmates are similar yet different. He thanked teachers, family and friends for their support. He urged graduates not to be strangers to him and other classmates.
Honor student Marley Moran said that high school is a journey of personal growth and students need to remember to remain strong. She asked her classmates to learn from their mistakes and experiences while remaining true to themselves.
Wolf Point High School Principal Kim Hanks said the class has a special place in her heart. She watched them grow in the elementary schools, Lil Wolves’ basketball, Northside concerts, eighth-grade graduation and for the last four years.
