Frontier Promotes Eighth-Grade Students
Frontier School recognized the promotion of seven eighth-graders during a graduation ceremony held on Thursday, May 21.
The seven graduates included Kenzley Azure-Copenhaver, Kolter Berglee, Keyden Beston, Deyson Deserly, Xaden Goodtrack, James Payne and Fredrich Savior.
Students handed flowers to each of their parents as part of the celebration.
Tressa Welch, a paraprofessional, served as the guest speaker. She congratulated the graduates and wished them the best. She urged students to keep in mind how important values are. She noted that kindness is one of the most important values. “There’s no such thing as too much kindness in the world,” Welch said. She also told the students not to worry too much about failures. “Do it as many times as it takes to succeed,” she explained.
Welch encouraged students to find a passion of what they love to do and focus on that passion. “It’s never too early to set goals,” Welch said. “Don’t be afraid to climb the mountain of education.”
Superintendent/principal Keith Hays described the class as confident, powerful and ready to take on what the future holds. Motto for the class was “You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step,” by Martin Luther King Jr.
