Bushman Faces Three Counts Of Sexual Abuse of Minor
A hearing was held in Roosevelt County District Court on Monday, May 11, as Karsen Wayne Bushman faced a state’s fugitive from justice complaint. During the hearing, Bushman waived his extradition rights and will be transported back to Wyoming.
According to court documents, Bushman had an arrest warrant issued from Campbell County, Wyo. The warrant stems from three counts of first degree sexual abuse of a minor. After the accused fled from justice in Wyoming, the state issued a warrant for his arrest.
Bushman was apprehended after being arrested on a tribal arrest warrant. He was then transferred to the Roosevelt County Detention Center.
Count one reads that on or between April 1 and Aug. 31, 2015, in Campbell County, Bushman did inflict sexual intrusion on a victim when he was 18 years of age or older and the victim was less than 18 years of age. He is accused of digitally penetrating the victim in a bedroom before she started kindergarten. First degree sexual abuse of a minor is punishable by imprisonment for not more than 50 years in prison and a fine of not more than $10,000.
Count two reads that between April 1 and Aug. 31, 2015, in Campbell County, that Bushman digitally penetrated a victim who was under the age of 18. The alleged incident occurred in a living room bedroom before she started kindergarten.
