The Roosevelt County Sheri #8217;s Oce responded to 146 cases from April 20-27.
The calls included: April 20
Deputies received a report from a male in Poplar’s city limits that someone broke into his home and broke his television. The case remains under investigation.
Deputies assisted the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice and a federal parole ocer regarding an adult male who had his probation revoked. Shane Freemont, 35, was transported to the county jail.
April 21
Deputies received a report of an individual cashing bad checks at a Wolf Point bank.
April 22
Deputies observed an adult male in Wolf Point who was wanted on a district court warrant. Matthew Gustafson, 39, was taken to the county jail.
April 23
Deputies were called to a house on BIA Route 1 where an elderly woman reported that her daughter was causing problems. Deputies and FPTDLJ responded. The daughter was taken to tribal adult jail.
April 26
Deputies served as coroner at a one-vehicle rollover on U.S. Highway 2 near Chelsea. A vehicle rolled and the adult male was ejected. The Montana Highway Patrol, tribal investigators and Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating the fatality.
While patrolling in Wolf Point, deputies saw a vehicle with only one working headlight on U.S. Highway 2. When a trac stop was conducted, the driver appeared intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests. He refused a breath test. He was charged in tribal court for DUI.
