Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 134 calls from March 23-30.

The calls included: March 23

An adult male flagged down a deputy and said that someone stole tools from his property. A male was issued a citation and taken to tribal jail.

March 24

Deputies and Poplar ambulance responded to Brockton’s city limits where a female said her sister was hit with a golf club and was bleeding. The patient was taken by the Poplar ambulance. The female suspect was arrested and taken to tribal jail.

March 25

Deputies responded to “devil’s alley” in Poplar’s city limits after a female reported that her mother was trying to leave a residence, but individuals were not allowing her to leave. Deputies ran warrant checks and one of the adult females had an active warrant. She was taken to tribal jail.

March 26

Deputies responded to the Poplar airport addition housing for a report of a fight. An adult male was throwing items around. He was charged with disorderly conduct and was put in the tribal jail on an eight-hour hold.

March 28

Deputies and the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice responded to Wolf Point’s city limits where an elderly woman reported she was assaulted by an unknown suspect in her house. Deputies found blood on the floor. Some dresser drawers were displaced. EMS was dispatched. The robbery is under investigation.

March 29

Deputies and FPTDLJ responded to Wolf Point for a report of a male yelling and screaming at the air. The male was trying to break into a house by swinging a chair. Law enforcement drew weapons. The man was taken into custody then and transported to tribal jail.

March 30

Deputies responded to Brockton after a female reported alleged bullying at the school. Deputies took the complaint.

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s report activity statistics for the past week were: Wolf Point city limits, 22; Wolf Point Rural, seven; Wolf Point FPHA areas, three; Poplar city limits, 18; Poplar rural, nine; Poplar FPHA Airport Addition, four; Poplar FPHA all other, 11; Culbertson town, 16; Culbertson rural, eight; Bainville town, five; Bainville rural, nine; Froid rural, two; Richland County, one; Brockton town, seven; Brockton rural, six; Fort Kipp, four; Frazer, one; total, 134.
