Robert Swift Eagle
Robert Pernell Swift Eagle, 54, died March 11, 2026, in Minot, N.D.
He was born in Los Angeles, Calif., the son of Delilah Mae Old Rock-Martin and Reuben Joseph Swift Eagle Jr. He graduated from Chimawa Indian School in Chimawa, Wash., and went on to attend college at United Tribes in Bismarck, N.D.
He worked various jobs with passion. His favorite was being a transportation specialist, transporting dialysis patients during various time of day and night. He was a very reliable and dedicated employee. Upon retiring from this position, he decided to reside in New Town, N.D., to assist in caring for his aunt LaVonne Snydal.
He loved to tease and make people laugh. He always had something to say in a positive manner and never had a negative thing to say about anyone or anything.
He was a Seattle Seahawks fan and enjoyed attending several home games. He was elated that they won the Super bowl in 2026. He wore their sports memorabilia with pride.
He enjoyed board games and playing basketball with his children. He loved music and watching movies. He loved road trips and his favorite was Lake Tahoe with his family. Camping was a highlight for him.
He is survived by his children, Kadyn Cole Lilley, Drew Alexis Swift Eagle, Robert Pernell Swift Eagle Jr. “Numpa” and Tallyn Tai Garreau; two grandchildren; and siblings, Reuben Swift Eagle Jr., Gregory Terell Swift Eagle, Genevieve Lynn Swift Eagle, Deneen Jewel Swift Eagle, Joni Dee Seventh Star, Roberta Syrene Johnson and Deena Jade Davidson.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 18, at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Interment followed at Fort Kipp Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
