Corne Faces Three Felony Charges

Cody James Corne is facing three felony charges in Roosevelt County District Court. The charges are criminal possession with intent to distribute meth, criminal possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.

Court documents accuse Corne of purposely or knowingly possessing the dangerous drugs on Feb. 10, in Roosevelt County.

In addition, Corne is accused of while believing that an official investigation was about to be instituted, concealing a water bottle containing dangerous drugs by handing it to the backseat passenger so that it could be thrown out of the window.

Maximum penalties for the intent to distribute counts are 20 years in the state prison, a $50,000 or both. Maximum penalties for the tampering evidence charge is a sentence of 10 years in the state prison, a $50,000 fine or both.
