Absentee Ballots Now Require Birth Year
Roosevelt County election administrator Tracy Miranda reminds area voters that a law requires the four-digit birth year on absentee ballot envelopes for elections.
Ballots without the four-digit birth year will be rejected. During the 2025 regular session, legislators approved House Bill 719 that revises election laws related to an elector’s date of birth.
The bill requires the election administrator to verify an elector’s date of birth before counting the elector’s absentee ballot.
