Bigger Sky Kids To Present Art Show
Artists from the Bigger Sky Kids program will be spotlighted during an art show at the Roosevelt County Library in Wolf Point on Saturday, March 14.
Aaliyah White and Malin Turcotte will serve as two of the 11 artists with pieces on display. The show runs from 1-3 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
This is the second time that White’s work has been one of the features in the local art show.
“I like how it’s peaceful and a nice place to be creative,” White said of the Bigger Sky Kids program.
Her art work includes wildlife, people and body parts such as eyes.
Turcotte is looking forward to being involved in her first art show. She likes to do oil paintings of wildlife.
The girls are thankful that artist Cathryn McIntyre comes to Bigger Sky Kids once a week to provide instruction.
“She’s very understanding and is really patient with all the kids,” White said.
They appreciate the murals that McIntyre has painted around the area.
Other student artists to be featured at the art show will include Evelyn Turcotte, Hope Pipestem, Rachel Pipestem, Kimi Pipestem, Kenzly Clark, Bailey Bearcub, Brayden Bearcub, Brylee Bearcub and Thomas Moudree.
The art instruction is funded by a grant from the O.P. And W.E. Edwards Foundation in Red Lodge. This foundation is committed to helping children develop new skills, build confidence, improve self-image and broaden horizons.
