Lilley Enjoys Playing Football, Basketball
Senior Profile
Wolf Point High School senior Stone Lilley has been a consistent contributor in two sports during his high school career.
He has participated in both football and basketball for the Wolves all four years.
During football season, he played left offensive guard and defensive noseguard.
He preferred the defensive position. “Because I could hurt someone,” he explained.
In the game against Big Timber this past season, Lilley accounted for tackles on consecutive plays. He said a highlight was when the Wolves opened the season with three straight victories.
His favorite part of being on the football team was being able to play with his older brother, Lennoxx, along with his friends.
Basketball is Stone’s favorite sport though. He notes that his brother, father and mother all played basketball.
“We’re a basketball family,” Lilley said.
His goals for the upcoming season include improving his game and having the team qualify for the state tournament.
He also wrestled as a freshman. “It was OK. It made me a better tackler in football,” Lilley said.
His hobbies including hanging out with friends, cruising around and playing basketball.
Lilley’s favorite class is American government taught by William Larsen. “He’s a funny dude,” Lilley said.
His favorite teacher is Lori Sande. “She’s been there throughout my junior high and high school career, and she helps me with my homework.”
After high school, Lilley plans to attend college, possibly at Dickinson State University in North Dakota. He will major in business.
