Williston Man Faces Drug Charges In Wolf Point

Joshua Steven Primeau of Williston, N.D., is facing four charges in Roosevelt County’s district court after an arrest in Wolf Point.

The lone felony charge is criminal possession of dangerous drugs. Misdemeanor charges are criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, no fenders, splash aprons or flaps on the vehicle and window tinting and sunscreening.

According to court records, Primeau’s vehicle was stopped in Wolf Point because it was not equipped with mud flaps or splash aprons of sufficient width and/or length to deflect dirt, mud, water or other substances.

Primeau is the owner of the vehicle, which was being driven by a female. He was a passenger in the vehicle.

The deputy recognized Primeau as the alleged victim of an armed robbery that occurred at the Homestead Inn on Sept. 28. At the time, Primeau told officers that he was robbed at gunpoint by Ethan Murphy and some other individuals. Murphy allegedly stole a pistol from Primeau during the robbery, and Murphy allegedly used it later that day to murder Ira Follet. Murphy was still in possession of the pistol when he was arrested two days later.

The deputy was told by other law enforcement that the robbery was suspected of being drug related and that Primeau is suspected of transporting illegal drugs to the Fort Peck Indian Reservation from North Dakota.

A search warrant was executed on the vehicle on Oct. 23. Discovered during the search were a Taurus G3C 9-mm pistol with magazine and 11 rounds of ammunition, a glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue, four butane torches and a cut off pen tube and foil with black residue.

The residue inside the pipe later field tested positive as meth.
