Lorraine Walley

Lorraine Lavonne Naasz Walley passed away Nov. 4, 2025, in Great Falls, Mont.

Lorraine was born in Dawson County on March 4, 1935, to Louisa and George Naasz. Lorraine spent her childhood in the Wolf Point area.

She married Clifford Walley on March 17, 1952. While living in Wolf Point, Lorraine and her late husband raised their three children. She worked at the Sherman Motor Inn and at Butterys Foods.

In the mid ‘90s, Lorraine began the second part of her life when she moved to Choteau, Mont., where her late husband's family resided. While in Choteau, Lorraine was able to spend more time

with her late husband's family, including her late motherin- law, Ellen Bushman Walley and her sister, Myrtle.

Lorraine worked at the VFW and then at Rex's IGA in Choteau. She dedicated many volunteer hours to the Bright Eyes Animal Shelter and the local Senior Center. The shelter was her sanctuary. She loved being there and caring for the animals at the shelter, even fostering many dogs. Lorraine adopted several of her beloved dogs from Bright Eyes.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Walley; son, David Michael Walley; son-in-law, Don Boysun; and all her siblings. Lorraine was also preceded in death by many good friends in the Wolf Point and Choteau area, most recently by her special friend Richard Rhodes who passed on Aug. 6, 2025.

She is survived by her daughters, Judith Walley Boysun (late Don) and Brenda Walley York (Don); grandchildren, Emma Smith (Ashley Starnes), Shawn Boysun (Vicky), Andrea Vandall (Scott), Alec Boysun (Brandi) and Clay Boysun (Christopher); great-grandchildren, Audrey Starnes, Louella Starnes, Evelene Starnes, Carry Tran (Thanh), Thomas Vandall, Jedidiah Boysun (Kaigen), Ben Boysun (Clare), Samuel Boysun, Wyatt Boysun and Waylon Boysun; and great-great-grandchildren, Aiden and Liam Tran. Lorraine is also survived by her good friend Lynn Brewster of Choteau, Mont.

There will be no formal services held. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Lorraine's name to the Choteau Lion Club at choteaulions.club. Lions serve the local Choteau Community. You may also donate to the Bright Eyes Animal Shelter in Lorraine's name.
