High School Musicians Perform Fall Concert
Wolf Point High School held its fall concert in the school’s auditorium on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
The school’s new musical director Michael Keefner told audience members how pleased he is to work with Wolf Point High School’s music students.
The swing choir opened the night by singing Miserere Mei by Antonio Lotti and Ghost Ship by Don Besig and Nancy Price.
Swing choir members are Cole Boysun, Naomi Deserly, Katelyn Jackson, Emmanuel Glenn Julio and William Schwarzrock.
The concert choir then performed Dear Theodosia from the play Hamilton and Over the Rainbow by Iz Kamakawiwo’ole.
Members of the concert choir are Norman Black Eagle, Murias Dupree, Alayah Forrest, Layla Headdress, Marley Hernandez, Amya Low Dog, Sheena Standing Rock, Chants Taylor and Macyn Toavs.
The high school band performed three selections during the concert, including High School Cadets, Pandora and Beetlejuice. Boysun, a senior, directed
the students for the Beetlejuice number.
The band consists of Kymani Archambault, Jayla Big Talk, Boysun, Steve DeCoteau, Maya Deserly, Jackson, Julio, Kaleigha Laverdure, Low Dog, Azarea McConnell, Schwarzrock and Lonnie Steele III.
The next concert is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 9.
