Speech, Drama Off To Great Start
The 2025-26 speech and drama Season has kicked off. This year, Culbertson has been joined by students from Froid, Medicine Lake and Bainville, as well as by coach/ drivers Robert and Patrick Kjelshus.
“New coaches and new students are an amazing addition to our program,” Coach Jeri Gustafson told the Community News. “We have all been working hard in preparation for the season’s competition.”
The team traveled to Sidney on Saturday, Nov. 1, for the first meet of the season. “It was an awesome way to start the season,” Gustafson said.
Results included: Harrison Green, first place, impromptu; Colt’n Reese, first place, memorized public address; Harper Anderson, first place, dramatic solo; Harper Strauna, first place, program oral interpretation; Vala Gregor, second place, memorized public address; Peyton Jahns, second place, program oral interpretation; Jaxon Flinn, third place, informative; Emma Henry, fourth place, dramatic oral interpretation; Scarlet Mahoney, fifth place, spontaneous program oral interpretation; Jaclynne Taberna, fifth place, humorous oral interpretation; Brennon Roseleip, sixth place, humorous oral interpretation.
The team placed first in Class C speech sweepstakes and second in Class C drama sweepstakes.
On Saturday, Nov. 8, the team will compete at the Roundup Invitational.
