Senior Profile

If there is a sport to be played, chances are that Wolf Point High School senior Marley Moran is involved in the action.

Moran plays the sports of volleyball, basketball, track, flag football and softball in Wolf Point. Along with that, she is also involved in student council, pep club and National Honor Society.

She says her favorite sport is softball where she is a pitcher and a strong hitter for the Yellowjackets.

“It’s fun,” Moran said of softball.

Currently, she is involved in two sports for the high school Wolves this fall. She has played volleyball all four years of high school and this is her second season competing in flag football.

Moran laughs that one of her favorite memories in volleyball is when teammate Navy Weeks simply caught a volleyball while the play was still on. “She just caught it for no reason,” Moran remembers.

For flag football, a highlight was qualifying for the state tournament last season. She is confident that the Wolves can be one of the two teams in the division to advance to state this year.

She added that beating Poplar for senior night was a good memory this year.

In basketball, Moran enjoyed being on a state tournament team as a freshman.

She competes in the javelin, discus and shot put during track season. She likes the javelin the best and remembers Katelyn Macdonald teaching her the techniques of the throw.

In the classroom, her favorite subject is “Principles of Living Systems,” which is a dual credit course.

Her favorite teacher is Leslie Larson.

After high school, Moran plans to study to become a physical therapist and hopes to play softball in college.
