Area Woman Faces Drug Related Charge In Court

Charissa Josette Boast of Medicine Lake is facing the felony charge of criminal possession of dangerous drugs in District Court.

According to court documents, law enforcement saw Boast in a vehicle in the Roosevelt County Sheriffs Office’s parking lot. She is currently on felony probation and is suspected of violating the terms of her probation by using illegal drugs.

Her probation officer requested a urinalysis test be conducted on Boast. Her test resulted in a positive for methamphetamine use.

After the state probation officer requested a search of the vehicle, the county deputy discovered a used methamphetamine pipe inside the center console.

The officer then stopped the search because he felt there might be more evidence of drug crimes and wanted a search warrant or consent. Boast claimed the pipe didn’t belong to her but was the property of her male passenger.

After she gave consent for a search, a second cold can of White Claw was found. The residue inside the pipe field tested positive for methamphetamine.
