Etchart Scholarship Open Through July 15

The Fort Peck Summer Theatre has opened the Jake Etchart Memorial Scholarship application window for this year.

Prospective applicants must be enrolled full time as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited university and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.50 (priority is given to undergraduate applicants). Preference will be shown to applicants who have a history of volunteering or participating in programs sponsored by the Fort Peck Fine Arts Council.

Applications must be postmarked by July 15 and mailed to the Fort Peck Fine Arts Council at P.O. Box 973 in Glasgow. Scholarships will be awarded during the FPST’s Performing Arts Camp Showcase, held the second week of August.

“Jake Etchart spent his summers at Fort Peck Lake, where he was often found at the Fort Peck Theatre, a place close to his heart,” said a press release from FPFAC executive director Kari Prewett.
