Couple Enjoys Spreading Love, Hope

Easter’s Messages
Local couple Pastor Greg Holler-Dinsmore and Pastor Christine Holler-Dinsmore explain that Easter is a time of love and hope for Christians.
“For me, it’s victory of love over hate,” Christine said about the religious holiday. “It’s the defeat of hate from the hands of love.”
Greg added, “Easter is all about hope. Easter reminds us to not give up hope. God is still in charge.”
Both of them will be busy on Easter Sunday. Greg will provide the message in McCabe while Christine will be assisting at the Fort Peck Lutheran Church. After being pastor at First Lutheran Church in Wolf Point from 20032018, Greg has kept busy providing Sunday messages in Poplar, Mc-Cabe and Glasgow churches.
Christine, a former educator at Fort Peck Community College, was ordained as a pastor in 2014. Along with doing services at the Fort Peck Lutheran Church, she has also helped at the Real Bird Woman Center and was chaplain at the tribal adult corrections facility in Poplar.
“I guess my philosophy in life is bringing joy and happiness to the world,” she explained.
Although they both graduated from Pacific Lutheran Seminar in Berkeley, Calif., they have made their happy home in Wolf Point. When they suffered injuries from a bike/vehicle accident last August, they definitely experienced the caring of northeastern Montana residents.
“Right after the accident, I could feel the support of love of so many people,” Christine said.
“It was very humbling,” Greg said of the support. “We enjoy being here.”
After being slowed with the injuries, Christine was able to return to her normal routine as far as services after Christmas.
“I enjoy helping people find love in their lives and realize they are loved,” she said.
Easter is a good time to remember the existence of those good, positive feelings.
“Despite the darkness in the world, the light will overcome it,” Christine stressed.
