Lustre had moisture in the form of snow on Sunday and Monday, and fog several mornings in a row. The spring is coming, and farmers are cleaning seed and preparing equipment for the upcoming busy season.

On March 22, the track and field team participated in their first indoor track meet in Williston, N.D. It was hosted by Scobey and Wolf Point. The boys team placed fourth and the girls placed third. Diek Olfert took second in long jump and fourth in triple jump. Prestyn Klatt took third in the 800 and first in the 1600. Kayden Charette took second in high jump and Mason Hilkemann took second in shot put and fourth in javelin. They also took second in the 4x400 meter relay.

Lauryn Holzrichter took second in both the 60 meter hurdles and triple long jump. Justice Byers took third in the 400 and 80 meter races. The girls’ team also took third place in the 4x200 meter relay.

The LCHS junior/senior banquet was held Friday evening, April 4, at the Glasgow Evangelical Church multipurpose room. The special speaker was Rev. Seth Runner of Glasgow. The theme was “classic”.

Lucas Lorenz has been teaching English and Bible classes at LCHS, finishing the position that was vacated earlier. Lucas and Naomi Lorenz were the dorm parents several years ago.
