Kathy Redekopp

Kathy J. Redekopp passed away on June 18, 2024, at Trinity Hospital in Minot, N.D.

She was born to Jean and Vernon W. Hicks in Seattle, Wash., on May 27, 1945, and was the youngest of two children. She graduated from high school in Edmonds, Wash., in 1963, and married Steven D. Redekopp in Edmonds on April 29, 1966. They lived together on Steve’s family’s farm west of Wolf Point until the time of his passing in 2023. She then moved to Minot, N.D., where her son Jeff and his wife, Jill, reside.

In addition to being a very busy farm wife and mother, Kathy loved taking care of her yard and flowers, and enjoyed gardening. She was also highly creative — she excelled at a variety of crafts, including her many decorative painting
