Corrine Yellow Owl

Corrine Yellow Owl, 56, of Poplar died Sept. 13, 2023.

She was born April 25, 1967, in Poplar to Gertrude and Raymond Yellow Owl Sr. She lived in Poplar all of her life. She graduated with her high school diploma from Poplar Schools in 1986. She also received her GED from Clearfield, Utah.

She worked as a CNA at the Poplar Hospital as well as a laborer at A& S Industries. She was also a housekeeper in Great Falls and a lunch lady at Poplar Schools. She also cooked at Tribal Express in Poplar.

She liked to cruise around, laugh and visit with family and friends. She loved to tease, cook and take care of her grandchildren.

She is survived by her three daughters, Rhianon Lynett Darnell, Payton Marie Darnell and Tiki Ann Spotted Wolf; sister, Sharon Yellow Owl; brothers, Mike Yellow Owl and James Burshia-Bighorn; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Warren, Myron, Doug, William and Charles Yellow Owl; and sisters, Arlene Red Eagle, Marie Yellow Owl and Rhonda Yellow Owl.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Sept. 23, at the Poplar Cultural Center. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
