The highlight of this month’s Billings/Glasgow weather briefing was a rundown of the flooding impacts on the Milk River during April.

According to the National Weather Service in Glasgow, the flooding resulted in 26.24 feet in Saco on April 14, which was the second highest crest on record. The high in Tampico was 27.94 feet on April 15, which was the second highest crest on record at that location.

Glasgow recorded 31.89 feet on April 14, which was the 14th highest crest on record. Nashua had 26.47 feet on April 18, which is the 10th highest its record.

Meteorologist Cory Mottice and Patrick Gilchrist reported that temperatures in Montana during April were near normal. Temperatures were slightly below average in eastern Montana.

During the first part of May, temperatures remained close to normal in the state.

Precipitation was also close to normal during April. Glasgow has 111 percent of its normal precipitation for this time of year.

According to the three month forecast, which runs through July, residents can expect cose to normal temperatures and precipitation in eastern Montana.
