Gas Prices Increase Slightly During Week

Average gasoline prices in Montana have risen 0.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.47/g on Monday, May 15, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana. Prices in Montana are 6.9 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 80.3 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 4.0 cents in the last week and stands at $3.97 per gallon.

According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Montana was priced at $3.32/g on Sunday, May 14, while the most expensive was $3.79/g, a difference of 47.0 cents per gallon.

The national average price of gasoline has risen 0.4 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.51/g today. The national average is down 14.9 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 95.6 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to Gas-Buddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.

For those in Arizona that have seen gas prices spike during the spring, significant relief is starting and should even accelerate over the weeks ahead.”
