Keiser, Wilson Win Awards At MSU
One hundred twenty-five students, including one Wolf Point and one Bainville resident, who excel in community service and leadership, along with three student organizations, were honored last week during Montana State University’s 100th annual Day of Student Recognition. The award ceremony was held Friday, May 5.
Award recipients will be recognized across five categories of excellence: legacy, service, leadership, academics and research, and teaching and mentorship.
Dorianne Keiser of Wolf Point was the winner of the Erma Lessel Collins Senior Award. She is majoring in psychology and community health. The sophomore has spent her time at college involved with different clubs, and groups and volunteering her time.
Most recently, she volunteered as a member of AISES teaching fifth- and sixth-graders how to fly drones on Fort Peck Reservation. She is currently a senator for the College of Letters in Science, the treasurer for Active Minds and a founding member of Honor Bound.
Paytyn Wilson of Bainville was a recipient of the Val G. Glynn Award. She is majoring in agricultural education communications.
Wilson, a senior, is most thankful for her time in her sorority, Pi Beta Phi, and holds great appreciation for her friends at ASMSU. She is thrilled to be pursing a graduate degree in higher education — student affairs, and she looks forward to pushing for innovative solutions to the issues college students face today.
