Bainville Council Members Hire Cemetery Workers

The Bainville Town Council held its regular meeting on Monday, May 8. The full council was in attendance.

During public works, it was reported that Devin Beal was in the town last week mapping water and sewer assets. Town staff will continue checking every valve and curb stop to detect any possible leaks.

Building permits were approved for Kam Murnion, who is redoing a deck at his home, John Gilligan (sidewalk removal) and Jason Westbury (fence).

Amy Brien, Kaelyn Romo, Kendra Romo, Elsie Wilson and Kam Murnion were all approved for hire with the town for cemetery maintenance work. Darrel Rassmussen was hired with a contingency for the use of his own equipment.

The financial audit for fiscal year 2022 is still being prepared. A resolution was passed adopting the preliminary budget for 2023.

There were no public comments or complaints.

No citations were written by the Roosevelt County sheriff’s office within town limits.

Claims, payroll and checks for April were approved. The next regular meeting is set for June 12 at 7 p.m.
