Driver Charged In Two Vehicle Crash

The Montana Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 2 and Secondary Road 251 on Saturday, April 29.

The crash, which occurred at about 7 a.m., involved a 2007 Chevy Equinox traveling east and a 2021 Ford F-350 pickup traveling westbound.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the Equinox, driven by a 23-year-old Brockton man, turned left toward Secondary Road 251 and hit the Ford pickup, driven by a 77-year-old Poplar man.

Both drivers were treated by EMS for injuries. Highway Patrol described the drivers as being stable medically. There were no passengers.

The 23-year-old driver was charged with driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a blood test and not wearing a seat belt.
