Sentences Made In District Court Cases

 

Otis Sherman Johnson was sentenced for two drug-related offenses during a hearing in district court on Wednesday, April 12.

As part of a plea agreement, Johnson received two five-year suspended sentences with the Montana Department of Corrections for the counts of criminal possession of dangerous drugs (fentanyl) and criminal possession with intent to distribute (fentanyl).

Johnson was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine for each count through a payment plan. He was given credit for 162 days served.

Donald Lee Fowler had his charges reduced to criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. He received a six-month sentence, all suspended, and no fine. He was given credit for one day in jail.

In another sentencing hearing, Justin Ladd Johnson received a five-year suspended sentence for possession of dangerous drugs.

He was fined $1,650. He was given credit for 14 days served.

District Judge David J. Cybulski told Justin Ladd Johnson that a probation officer is there for help if he feels like he is heading toward trouble.

“You have received a break here, take advantage,” Cybulski said.

Kameron Dale Beston made not guilty pleas to the charges of criminal distribution of dangerous drugs, possession with intent to distribute, use or possession of property subject to criminal forfeiture and possession of drug paraphernalia.

An omnibus hearing was scheduled for May 10. A trial was set for July 13.

Under mutual agreement, Beston will receive treatment at Rocky Mountain Treatment Center in Great Falls.

Jason Daniel Daugherty made not guilty pleas to the charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft, driving with a suspended or revoked license and being a habitual traffic offender.

An omnibus hearing was scheduled for May 10. A trial was set for July 13.
